Let one of the friendly veterinarians at Veterinarians To Cats handle your next appointment.
Growing up on a small farm in Craig County, Va. instilled in me a love for animals, cats especially, and this love never left me. After graduating from high school I had planned on having a career in nursing. Upon graduation from college I moved to the Charleston area of South Carolina and worked at the Medical University. While there I fell in love with the Isle of Palms area and I knew someday I would be back.
As life goes, I moved back to Va. and worked in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. I love nursing and the experience that came with the job, but my true love of animals kept calling me, and for a woman to be a veterinarian "back in the day" was just unheard of.
Anyone that knows me, knows that telling me women aren't veterinarians knew that this would not fly with me.
It made me more determined than ever. I enrolled at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine(VA TECH) and I was in the second graduating class of the school.
After graduation I worked five years at a local veterinary clinic. This experience gave me the desire to open my own practice. In 1990 I fulfilled by dream and opened Veterinarians To Cats, and as they say I have never looked back.
I have met so many wonderful people here in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas, and the trust they have placed in me with the care of their special family member means so much. I look forward to providing years of kitty care along with taking relaxing vacations at my beach house on the Isle of Palms.
Dr. Britt is a proud Buckeye, having graduated from the Ohio State University in 1984. He moved to Roanoke from the DC Metro area in 2003 with his family, and joined Vets To Cats in 2004. He and his wife, Sue Huntington, have enjoyed raising their 3 children in the Roanoke Valley. They currently share their home with 2 cats, Stache and LC, a silly dog, Martha, and his son’s 2 fish.
Kevin is active in his church choir and enjoys playing his sax in the praise bands at 2 churches. He likes hanging out with his family; going to live theatre, and enjoys knitting when he really needs to relax.
Kevin’s father was a veterinarian and he can’t remember not having a cat and other pets growing up. He loves caring for the wonderful cats and their human parents that he sees at Veterinarians To Cats. He looks forward to many more years of service to the Roanoke feline community.

Our mission is to focus on the unique needs of cats and their human family. We provide compassionate, progressive medical care in an environment that is designed to be paw-sitively purr-fect for felines and the humans that love them.
In order to fully focus on felines, it would be cat-astrophic to ignore the skills and knowledge our team must possess and therefore, the other half of our mission is to focus on the educational development of our team and the professional environment of our culture.
We accept in-takes for surgeries and drop offs from 8-8:30 am Monday through Friday. A doctor will be unavailable until 8:30 a.m. each day. You are welcome to wait in our lobby however if you feel your cat needs immediate medical attention or may require 24 hour critical care we recommend they be taken to Emergency Veterinary Services at 4902 Frontage Road Roanoke, Virginia 24019 540-563-8575.
